As fans reel from the release of Taylor Swift‘s new album The Tortured Poets Society, the singer’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, appeared to cheekily confirm that one track, “So High School,” is written about him.

In the song, one of Swift’s surprise tracks, fans drew connections between Kelce and lines like, “You know how to ball” and “Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto,” which many feel could easily apply to him. Another line highlighted as a likely reference to Kelce is, “I feel like laughin’ in the middle of practice/ Do that impression you did of your dad again.”

Well, shortly after the album came out, the official New Heights social media channel on X tweeted a video clip from an episode of the podcast that had Kelce and his older brother Jason Kelce doing impressions of their dad, Ed Kelce, with the caption, “Those Papa Kelce impressions are just too good.”

Considering the caption and the timing, it felt like a confirmation about “So High School” to Swifties.

Fans quickly called out the connection, with replies like, “I see what you are doing 👀😂,” “OH UR GOOOOOOD,” and “The lore 💀😆.”

Another wrote, “I actually gasped,” as someone else cheered on the Kelce patriarch, replying, “Omg well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Ed has made it into the Taylorverse already lol.”

Even celebrity fans saw the link between Kelce and “So High School,” with sports analyst Pat McAfee discussing the song’s references to the couple’s relationship on his show before congratulating Kelce and Swift.

Swifties seemed to think that the song “The Alchemy” is also about Kelce, as it’s a love song that features many different references to football in the lyrics. Meanwhile, fans connected other album tracks to Swift’s exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy.
