Jason and Travis Kelce engaged in a hilarious discussion about how big butts can be advantageous in the NFL.
In the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, the brothers referenced a story from The Athletic that highlighted how players’ rear ends play a factor in NFL scouting reports.
‘We usually say it in a negative way,’ Jason said. ‘But it turns out a** is all these scouts are looking at.’
The former Eagles center also joked about how his wife says he has a ‘chicken a**’ after Travis named him as the ‘a** you think of when you think of the NFL.’
‘I don’t have an a**, Trav,’ Jason said, to which the Chiefs tight end responded: ‘Dude, ask Kylie, she knows.’
Kylie says I have a chicken a**. That’s exactly what she says,’ Jason claimed. He then proceeded to call Kylie to prove his point to Travis.
‘Ky, what do you say my a** resembles?’ Jason asked on the line.
‘A chicken a**,’ Kylie confirmed. Travis later sighed and said: ‘She’s not looking at the same a**.’
Jason continued reading excerpts of the story from The Athletic – pausing ever-so-often to give their commentary. The recently retired Eagles star insisted that big butts are especially helpful defensive linemen.
‘Especially defensive line,’ Jason said. ‘There’s something about the a** that just helps you really anchor. I will say I don’t like a sloppy a**. I like a tight a**. You want it to be a firm, big a**.’
‘I think this is all very accurate for certain positions,’ he continued. ‘I do think you want more shapely and proper proportioned a**es for most of the positions. Defensive line, you want a big a**. Who do you think of with defensive line a**es?’
‘What do you mean? Every defensive lineman ever?’ Travis replied.
Jason concluded the segment by saying: ‘This is an accurate assessment of a**es by some of the all-time greats in coaching.’
‘I mean posterior chain, man. Explosion,’ Travis agreed.
