It has been three years since Tyreek Hill left the Kansas City Chiefs to become the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. The Miami Dolphins wideout has since not succeeded in returning to the Super Bowl. On the contrary, his former team won two Super Bowls after his departure. Despite the discrepancies in their success, Hill continues to respect his former teammates.

He recently praised Travis Kelce, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs for not being selfish as a player. Viewed as the key part of the reigning Super Bowl champions’ offense, Kelce has sacrificed becoming one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL to stay with Patrick Mahomes and facilitate the Chiefs to retain their stars on the roster.
I think Kelce like at 14, 15 (million). Nobody’s Travis Kelce. Nobody’s Patrick Mahomes, either. Those two, they’re just different. They’re gonna be the highest-paid. But obviously, they’re gonna take friendly deals cause you know…(they want to) keep the team together.

Travis Kelce’s current base salary is $12 million which is meagre considering his achievements and what he brings to the team. He makes substantially more off the field through endorsements and affiliations with brands.

Tyreek Hill believes Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are players who will try their best to keep the team together.

The wideout for the Miami Dolphins went as far as to call Kelce the greatest tight end that he has ever played with.

Since being drafted in 2013, Kelce has continued to progress year-over-year and has stayed loyal to the Chiefs.

The tight end has caught a pass in 143 consecutive games beating Tony Gonzalez‘s franchise-best record of 126 games with consecutive catches, he has the record for the most receptions by a tight end in league history in their first 10 seasons with 814 catches, and has the most 100-yard games by a tight end in NFL history.

He has solidified his position as a Hall of Famer once he retires.

Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes put up one of the most dangerous offensive front in recent history. Despite wanting to remain at Arrowhead, Hill was not satisfied with the numbers he was being paid. There were times when Kelce was getting more targets than him as well, these factors led him to accept the Miami Dolphins deal of $120 million for four-years.

Eitherway, both the Chiefs and Hill have won that trade. The former has gone on to win multiple Super Bowls while the latter is financially set for a long time.
